Ghana beads

These beads are made in Krobo region in Ghana. All beads are individually, hand made by traditional craftsmen. The glass used to make them comes from recycled bottles, plates and window glass. The glass is either broken down into small fragments to make transluscent beads or ground into fine powder to make powdered glass beads which are non-transparent and can be painted with glass glaze. Beads are environmentally friendly and 100% handmade. The variation in hole size, bead color and size is not considered a defect. For stringing use cord.
